The Villages of the Shadowbrook Estate is a condominium community in South Hadley, Massachusetts. Centrally located in the Pioneer Valley of Hampshire County in western Massachusetts, Shadowbrook offers convenient access to both the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) and Route I-91.
Our community offers multi-unit and duplex buildings with separate entrances. There are 84 units, most with decks and many with single or two-car garages and driveways. The community is not age-restricted and pets are allowed.
Utilities are provided by South Hadley Electric Light Department (SHELD), Eversource Gas, South Hadley Water District 1, and Comcast. SHELD’s Fiberspring internet and phone service is at present only available to condominiums that agree to fund installation costs.
The Town of South Hadley has a population of approximately 18,000 and a Representative Town Meeting form of government. Shadowbrook is located in Precinct A, and is served by Fire and Water District 1. In 2014 a new South Hadley Public Library building was opened on a site overlooking the Connecticut River falls. The branch Gaylord Library occupies a historic building located across from Mount Holyoke College. The Town’s new Senior Center, opened in 2021, offers numerous classes and other activities.
